26th January..
We have got all of our planning done by now, so this was our first day of shooting. It went fairly well, we got all the shots we needed, but checked over our footage on the computer at school, and realised we need to make another day where we have to do some re-shooting. Because it was the middle of the winter, we were all freezing, especially me in my little dress with no coat! We discussed we should of thought about the reality of the setting before, but I will have to grin and bear it and act professional, to get the best grades as possible!
29th January..
We were unable to film our flashback scenes today, due to failing to book out the drama studio for our rave scenes. So to make do with our time, we editing and cut some of the shots we took on the 26th in the woods. This is when we realised we needed to desperatley go back down to the woods the reshoot a couple of things.
31st January..
We had a full day of filming today and we all agreed it went very well! We did what we had to do, without and moaning or disagreements, and stuck to our story board which helped us shoot things quicker. Because the woods is a difficult place to film in, we did come across some problems. For example, when i had to lye down for the shot when i was on the floor, it was really muddy and i wasnt too happy about lying in it! So we decided to get a black plastic bag so i could lye on it and not get my clothes dirty. The only problem with this is that it was hard to hide the bag from the camera. But we got there in the end!
One of the shots we had on our story board also shocked us a little. We believed the pan around my body wouldnt work because we didnt have the right machinary to carry it out. But we tried it With steve walking round me with the camera held in his hand in a 360 degree circle. We used an effect on the camera that made it slightly blurry, and it worked a treat! We were really pleased that the simplest of actions (holding the camera in your hand) could work so well!
We decided that the shot of me tripping over had to be re-shot because it looked very unrealistic, and decided next time i would have to grin and bear the pain and just trip over for real.
1st - 3rd Febuary
Today we edited the material we had. We still didnt have the flashback scene so it was quite hard to work with, and we still needed to do some re-shooting of some scenes in the woods.
8th Febuary
Today, we decided to film our flashback scenes in the drama studio. We did this in our lunch time, and got some of our friends in the 6th form to participate as other members in the nightclub. This went suprisingly well and got it done quite quickly! We found the drama studio useful because of the different types of lighting that was availbile. We didnt need to re-shoot anything in the future so we were very pleased with the end result :)
17th Febuary
We had planned to re-shoot some scenes in the woods today, but unfortunatley, the weather had turned against us, and were unable to do the re- shooting. This is a draw back to filming in the outside! We should of thought of this set back when we were planning in the early stage, but now we would just have to wait for the weather to brighten up.
23rd Febuary
Well we were on standby all this week but no such luck with the weather up until now! It was still really cold and rainy, but we had to make do as time was running out before the final deadline! Our re-shoot went fairly well, we got the close up shots we wanted and had everything for our final cut!
