Initial Idea's

Genre: Thriller/ horror.

We decided to make a film which was a thriller/ horror because we believed it would appeal to any target audience, so more people would want to watch it. Also we thought to make a horror film, we would have a wider range of shots that would could use so it would able us to fufil our best potential and get us the best grades we could.

Character: Rose Kensington - 19 year old girl

We chose our character to be a 19 year old girl, because in the news latley, it has been a hot topic about teenage girls going to parties and getting drunk, and then having something bad happen to them. For example, rape/asult/ being kidnapped. So we thought it would be appropriate to use a girl of this age. Also we believed it could send out a message to our viewers and even a valuble lesson of being aware of your drink at all times when you are out.

Setting : Woods & a nightclub

We have chosen to set it in these two places because when a girl is out partying, she would most likely be in a nightclub. We also chose for it to be set in the woods because we thought it was the most effective place to wake up and have no clue to where you are or how you got there. The woods can be dark and dawnting and will emphasise the characters vunerability.

Sound: No dialouge, just music

We have chosen to have the opening of our film without dialouge because there is only one character on set and we want the audience to use their own imagination and feel the mood of confusion and vunerability. We have decided to play two different tracks of music for each of the club scene and the woods scene to play over our footage. We believe this will attract the audience's attention more so, than if we had dialouge.
